Ingrian Networks Appoints Michael Howard as President
and Chief Executive Officer
Former VERITAS and Oracle executive to drive Ingrian’s leadership in data privacy and key management initiatives
REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – June 11, 2007 – Ingrian® Networks, Inc., the leading provider of data privacy solutions, today announced the appointment of Michael Howard as president and chief executive officer. In this position, Howard will drive overall strategy and identify new markets for the company while continuing to grow Ingrian’s strategic alliances.
“Michael has deep expertise in driving new product strategy and delivering the vision required to take companies into new markets,” said Robert Steinkrauss, who is retiring from Ingrian as CEO. “His exceptional track record of growing companies and proven business leadership make him an excellent choice to lead Ingrian into its next phase.”
Howard brings more than 25 years of industry experience to Ingrian, most recently serving as CEO and chairman of OuterBay, where he helped guide the company to its successful acquisition by HP in 2006. Before OuterBay, Howard served as vice president and general manager of VERITAS Software Corporation, the billion-dollar storage solutions vendor, where he managed its Internet Division. Prior to VERITAS, he was vice president of Oracle's data warehouse and business-to-business integration division where he managed development, marketing, business development, curriculum, and a $1B product revenue center. Before that, he was a vice president and general manager at Information Builders. Howard received his bachelor of science with honors from the University of California at Berkeley.
